Threadbare is an hour long virtual web series airing as part of the GypsyVerse Productions virtual entertainment network.
The show follows a man on a mission to rescue his kidnapped sister from a trusted mentor. Along the way, he starts to discover paranormal elements of our world that he never knew existed before.

Alrighty, then.
Lina's not dead. For that, you should all be ashamed. Although the spell/collapse at the end did give me some hope.

Yeah, the first Connor movie, which got surprisingly decent reviews is an eyesore for me now.

I need medication sometimes when I look back on my first run of Guardians eps. I still can't plot to save my life, but it was far worse back then...

The concept for Threadbare was originally conceived in 2002 and left to slowly evolve in the dark recesses of the back of my mind. This, as you may have noticed if you've followed the show's development, is a pattern. In 2005, the first draft of the pilot was written and pitched to Monster Zero Productions, and since then it's been a roller coaster of good and bad turns for the development.
I put the show on hold originally to continue working on my main series at the time, Guardians. When that show was put to rest, I started developing Threadbare again. Production switched over to Blackster Virtual Community and dragged on long enough for BVC to be enveloped by MZP. The show aired for three episodes before I ran out of episodes to air and had no drive or time to make more. The show was put on another indefinite hiatus.
Now, Mike's offered me a chance to finish this thing here on GVP, and with a vague sense of duty to get this thing down and done, I've accepted. The nature of the show is a slow build, sadly, so is it's development. We've got twelve episodes together to see what kind of product my random thoughts for the last six years have wrought (I like that word, sounds old school) and whether it's worthy of another batch later.

Most people live their lives assured that, for all the change we suffer each day, things largely stay the same. Tomorrow, the sun will come up, the sky will be blue, things will fall down when dropped, and there are no monsters retreating to little Timmy's closet to sleep away the day. These are the certainties we live our lives by, because they are the things that don't change. We find comfort in the stability of our reality – perhaps that was a bit naïve of us.
Its subtle, but you can see it if you look. If you really sit down and watch, the certainty of things isn't what it used to be. Tomorrow, the sun may still come up, but the sky may be green, things may fall up, or not at all, and who says monsters aren't hiding in Timmy's closet? The world as we understand it is slipping away and everything you ever imagined as never possible in a million years may soon come to pass. The only problem is that you won't see it. The fabric of reality is becoming threadbare, worn and thin, allowing magic to seep into the world, and no one notices because it's happening just a little at a time.
Well, almost no one. Some are aware that the world isn't as it once was, and there is no turning back. They have to learn to exist in this new world, adapt to the changes it throws at them, or be torn apart along with everything around them. The world is falling apart around them – will they be able to put it back together again?
